Hello!

Learning about new friends we meet is a fun part of our life’s journey. I’d like to share a little more about me with you here. I was born and grew up with my wonderful Mom and Dad and younger sister in Pennsylvania. For many years in school, my teachers said I should be a writer. I have always loved writing, but as I entered college, I decided to focus on arithmetic instead. Since then, my career has been in Accounting and Finance. After college we all moved to Florida where I still live. I have two beautiful children, now 25 and 27 years old, and a recently added son-in-law who is currently serving our nation in the Army. We have two pet tortoises named Pickles and Squirt.

My family and faith, are the most important parts of my life. Other things I really enjoy doing include baking, fishing, volunteering at local schools, and family game night. Even though Christmas can be the “most wonderful time of the year”, my favorite season is Spring. We have a lot of family traditions around Easter. I love to see everything bloom again and I enjoy a bright blue sky as much as a passing light rain shower.

In 2020, I decided to take up the pen and drafted a manuscript entitled: Turtle Tales with Pickles and Squirt. Yes, our pet tortoises were the inspiration for the main characters in the book. I plan to make this a children’s chapter book series consisting of 12 books with each book having 12 chapters. My children are the inspiration for my first published book in 2022 called Turtle Tales with Pickles and Squirt: 12 Months Equal 1 Year. You can check out this story in the Books section.
