First Book. First Blog.

Hello! How is your day going? As for me, I’m just days away from receiving the first print copy of my first book, Turtle Tales with Pickles and Squirt: 12 Months Equal 1 Year. Today is launch day (in T-minus 5 hours), of my first website, www.LASpicher.com, and this is my first attempt at blogging.

So, for this post, I’d like to start with a huge thank you to those who helped me get here. To my family and children, thanks for a lifetime of traditions and experiences that helped set the stage for this first book. To our tortoises, Pickles and Squirt, thanks, you are the inspiration for my main characters. To my friends, you know who you are, thanks for proofreading and providing feedback. Thank you to my editor, designer, and typesetter with Xulon Press (more on self-publishing in another blog).
